A few years ago, my great-aunt — who's lived in Los Angeles for decades — came back to China for a medical issue she'd been struggling with in the US. Between the cost, the wait times, and the back-and-forth with insurance, she'd been putting it off for months. In China, she saw a doctor within days, got treated, and was done. The whole thing cost a fraction of what she'd been quoted back in LA.

That stuck with me. I'd spent years at Anker, one of China's most successful global brands, building marketing and technology for the US and European markets. I knew how to bring Chinese products to Western consumers. But after watching my great-aunt's experience, I kept thinking: why isn't anyone doing this for healthcare?

The more I looked into it, the more the gap made no sense. Chinese hospitals have the equipment, the expertise, and the capacity. Americans are skipping meals to pay medical bills. Canadians wait 29 weeks for surgery. British patients sit on NHS lists for over a year. The problem isn't quality — it's that nobody has built the bridge.

My father-in-law and my brother-in-law's family are both department heads at major hospitals. I didn't go looking for medical connections — my family is in the industry. Through them, our network extends across China's top-tier cities: Guangzhou, one of China's richest medical hubs; Shenzhen, a direct connection from Hong Kong; and Fujian Province. If you fly into Hong Kong, you can be in a Chinese hospital the same day.
